From August 4 to 6, 2023, the ELA Suisse team welcomed the association’s families to the Hôtel Cailler in Charmey (canton of Fribourg). On Saturday morning, the children had the pleasure of trying out different games in a workshop led by Béatrice Hess (honorary member of ELA). During this activity, parents gathered for a meeting and a time of exchange.

The families then headed off to an Alpine restaurant to enjoy a delicious fondue and discover the secrets of Gruyère cheese-making. To the delight of the children, rides on donkeys and escargolines (horse-drawn carriages designed to transport people with reduced mobility) were offered in the heart of nature.

The “Lucy and Lucky Loop” duo brought the day to a close with an extraordinary show of contortion, hula-hooping, acrobatics and live music.

On Sunday morning, Sylvie Del Toro (mother of a young boy suffering from leukodystrophy) led a magnificent paracord bracelets braiding workshop. Despite the weather, the weekend was a real success.
