ELA Switzerland 2026 gathering weekend

From 7 to 9 August 2026, ELA Switzerland welcomed 26 member families to the Hôtel Cailler in Charmey (canton of Fribourg) for its traditional annual weekend. This gathering was made possible thanks to the funds raised during the 2024 edition of the “Watches for ELA” auction.

This respite break offered children with leukodystrophy, their siblings and their parents a break from the daily routine, with a rich and varied programme.
On Saturday morning, the parents got together for a meeting and a time of discussion. Meanwhile, the children had the pleasure of taking part in an adaptive boxing workshop run by the Manza Sport Handicap charity.
In the afternoon, a visit to the Maison Cailler gave everyone the chance to learn about the history of chocolate and enjoy unlimited pralines!
The Luna-tic duo brought the day to a close with a magnificent show combining music, songs, acrobatics and humour.

On Sunday morning, the magician Daniel Juillerat delighted the youngest children with his amazing and entertaining tricks.

Sharing, friendliness, enthusiasm and smiles were the key words of ELA Switzerland’s 2026 Family Weekend.
