This year, nearly 900 people gathered from August 22 to 25 at Center Parcs Les Hauts de Bruyères in Sologne. This long-awaited event for families was made possible thanks to funds raised by ELA International during the 2024 “Watches for ELA” sale.

A weekend focused on relaxation, wellness, meeting people, and sharing experiences

Treatments to soothe the body and mind

• Face and body massages: moments of deep relaxation, specially tailored to your needs.
• Magical massages: simple massage techniques and short stories to soothe children and share a moment of tenderness.
• Sound relaxation: immerse yourself in the rhythm of ocean drums, singing bowls, and chimes for a soothing break.
• Introduction to yoga: a practice that can relieve everyday stress through a gentle approach accessible to all.

Sports and dance: moving to feel free

• A variety of sporting activities: Nordic walking, boxing, fencing, boccia, rifle shooting, and introductory diving sessions punctuated the weekend.
• Inclusive dance: choreographer Pamela once again highlighted the differences between able-bodied and disabled people through the dance she offers her “disabled dancers.”

Meetings and exchanges: the importance of sharing

• Discussion groups: led by our psychologist, these groups provided an opportunity to talk about daily life with the disease, share experiences, and support one another.
• Space dedicated to women with the disease: a time to talk, understand one another, and recharge among peers.
• Bowling for siblings: a fun activity for children whose lives are impacted by the illness of a loved one to make new friends.
