Aurora Pujol winner of the 2026 Moser Prize
Professor Aurora Pujol, a member of the Scientific Committee of ELA International, was awarded the Moser Prize by the United Leukodystrophy Foundation (ULF).
This award is named after Dr Hugo Moser and his wife Ann Moser, who were leading pioneers in medical research into adrenoleukodystrophy.
Aurora Pujol joined the Scientific Advisory Board of ELA International in 2024. A professor of Genetics and Neuroscience and Director of the Neurometabolic Diseases Laboratory at IDIBELL in Barcelona, she has helped to advance medical research into leukodystrophies.
The work carried out with his team has led to the discovery of new genetic causes of the disease. These advances have paved the way for a promising avenue of research into treatments.
She is also committed to improving the care provided for these rare diseases, with very tangible benefits for the families affected.
We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Aurora Pujol on receiving this award, which recognises her exceptional commitment to patients and their families.
